VSF transcends beyond the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) compliance and even across the borders of Cebu and Luzon through its programs and projects geared towards economic alleviation of the people.
VSF Scholarship Program started in 2007 with 24 scholars enrolled in different universities and colleges in Cebu. The Program aims to assist financially-challenged students from public high schools who are academically capable but have no means to pursue college education. The number of scholars eventually increased on the succeeding years. Education consists of 80% of VSF entire operations.
From 2007-2022, there were already 193 graduates, 121 of them graduated with honor

In partnership with Metro Retail Stores Group Inc., VSF were able to give back-to-school kits to our school beneficiaries thru our Back-to-School Charity Program. Over 25,000 school kids all over the Philippines were aided with school supplies. Books and other reference materials were also distributed thru our Donate-a-Book donation drive.
VSF is also instrumental in the construction of Basak Elementary School and Mandaue Central School, Bitlang Integrated School in Sudlon, Cebu City, Media Once Elementary School in Toledo City, Cajel Elementary School in Borbon, Cebu and Taysan SResettlement Elementary School in Legaspi City, Bicol Region.
This aims to develop and to strengthen community partnership through the provision of material aid or financial assistance or livelihood projects to chosen communities or organizations in need. VSF has been extending relief and assistance to the victims during crisis and calamities, bloodletting campaign, medical mission, livelihood projects, and contribution for a cause.
Objective is to collect blood from the Metro employees as well as its shoppers to help the hospital patients in Cebu. This is in partnership with Philippine Red Cross.
To provide free medical services to rural areas in partnership with other civic-oriented organizations, local government units and VSF’s corporate affiliates.
Beneficiaries includes victims of calamities especially where VDC operates. Thousands of families affected by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake and Super Typhoon Yolanda, Ormoc Earthquake, Marawi crises, were aided with cash and in-kind assistance.
Provision of financial assistance to other civic-oriented organizations to support certain project in line with VSF’s vision and mission.
To provide self-sustaining livelihood activities to underprivileged individuals ( family ) in the community.
Environmental rehabilitation activities like coastal clean-up with mangrove planting and upland reforestation have also been part of the Vicsal Foundation’s CSR advocacy. This aims to help reduce negative environmental impacts through projects that promotes a sustainable environment.
